Thanks to the 30 - 40 great women on committees, everything is perking merrily along.
If you are not on a committee and would like to help, please call me.
I simply can't believe we are getting so close. I'm sure it will be another great show. Time to look around and see what can be finished up and entered in the show. We will have many of the same vendors and about 6 or 7 new ones this year. The fabric Challenge is a big favorite. All the packets were sold, so I'm thinking it will be a great display. Challenge packets for 2011 will be available at the quilt show.
There will be some special displays, including a really fun Round Robin that was passed around during 2009. Approximately 35 BHQG members joined in. If you participated, please be sure to have your quilt available for the display, quilted or not. We will also have the Fabric Challenge from Wisconsin again. Always a great display.
Klaudeen Hansen will be our judge again this year. This section was instituted at the request of many members. We are one of the few shows in the area to have judging available for such a reasonable charge. $10 for members and $15 for non-members. If you would like to keep this
part of the show, please enter some quilts.
Quilt appraisals will again be available. Free demos all day long. The raffle quilt will be on display, tickets available. Tickets will be available for chances on another beautiful basket of Batiks and hand dyes.
The Awards banquet will be Saturday night. If you would consider being a table Hostess, Please contact Shirlene Anderson. We have a great lineup of trunk shows by Joan Kettlewell of the Quilt Connection, Joan Davis of Quilt Corral and Pearl Louise of Thimble Cottage. Banquet tickets will be on sale soon at local shops,Tuesday workdays and monthly meetings. Registration forms, UFO forms and Raffle tickets are available for download and printing from the website. |
